Rebecca Nicholson

Rebecca is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer and Information Sciences.  She is interested in the use of technology in Education, specifically the potential of technology to support authentic and creative pedagogies.  Her work takes a participatory action research approach, collaboratively teaching, designing and evaluating technologies alongside teachers in the classroom.    

Rebecca’s current work examines the potential role of technology in supporting authentic and collaborative learning both in Computer Science and Medicine.  Past work has explored the role of technology to support authentic learning in the Performing Arts classroom. 

Rebecca is also interested in Music and Theatre technologies, particularly how to support teaching about and with these in the classroom.
