I completed my LLB at Kings College, London in 2009, before completing a Masters in Jurisprudence (Mjur) in 2010 and then a PhD in law in 2014 at Durham University (awarded Feb 2015).

My Mjur and PhD topics are within the fields of bioethics and human rights; my PhD is entitled ‘A Gewirthian conception of the right to enabled suicide in England and Wales’. I have previously taught at Sheffield University and Durham University in the fields of Jurisprudence, Equity, Land law and Public law.

My main areas of research are in family and relationship privacy, informational and physical/medical privacy, and human rights more generally. This research has formed the basis for publications in leading UK law journals and chapters in edited collections, including articles on same sex registered partnerships, the treatment of sexual minorities, terrorism and the ECtHR’s abortion jurisprudence.
